Opening a company in Luxembourg, while living in Germany (have SSN)

Hello,

I have an question regarding some things.

I work in Luxembourg for a longer time now +/- 6 years, but living in Germany as most of us here i assume. Now i want to open a company (online webshop)

Is it possible to do this? And i have a social security number, so i am registered in Luxembourg as well.

How to proceed? In Germany you open the company via the local Stadtamt and then to get the VAT number you need to register at elster.de

How does that work in Luxembourg, i dont know where to seek information.

I send out an email to chamber of commerce here in Luxembourg today, so hopefully they will reply.
