Good afternoon everybody.

First of all, I apologize for the message in English. Can't speak German yet, except a few things.

I work in Luxembourg city center, and am currently living at the french border.

However, for my health, I was looking for an appartment in altitude, and I found a very interesting appartment opportunity in Markusberg, up the hill.

My questions are :

1) According to you, what is the easiest / quickest way from Markusberg to Luxembourg ?

2) Is there a (free) parking near Trier Hbf (or Trier Süd) ?

3) If I want to go by train or bus (from Trier or Wasserbillig), where could I park my car ?

In advance, thank you very much for your replies.

K.

Hi,

The easy answer is by car.

There is a once per hour bus that goes down from Markusberg, but not guaranteed during winter.

There's a P&R at the motorway border in Wasserbillig, but no free parking near the train stations.

Hope that helps.

Hi K.

free parking at train stations only on CFL parking spaces (but not in the street) in Wasserbillig or Mertert.

Wasserbillig train station: normally fully occupied at 7 am (not during corona).Mertert train station: no problem. Free and available P&R Parking. But no express trains (RE), only local trains (RB).

Or Bus 118 at Trier Messepark (free P&R).
