Virus "Swem" sieht aus wie MICROSOFT  

11:50 - 19.09.03 (DPA) Neuer E-Mail-Wurm tarnt sich als Microsoft-Update ""Swen" ist aufgemacht wie eine E-Mail von Microsoft, in der die Nutzer aufgefordert werden, ein Sicherheits-Update zu installieren", sagte Christoph Fischer vom Virentestcentrum in Karlsruhe.

Er beginnt folgendermaßen: "Microsoft Partner this is the latest version of security update, the "September 2003, Cumulative Patch" update which fixes all known security vulnerabilities affecting MS Internet Explorer, MS Outlook and MS Outlook Express as well as three new vulnerabilities. Install now to continue keeping your computer secure from these vulnerabilities. Microsoft Partner"

Die Luxemburger Post, die ein Virusfilter einsetzt, reagiert darauf mit folgender E-Mail:

"The scanned document was QUARANTINED. Violation Information: The attachment PACK41.exe contained the virus Worm.Automat.AHB and could NOT be repaired. The filename extension of attachment PACK41.exe violated the content filtering rule Delete launchable attachments and was deleted."
