I have worked for Virgin Digital in Luxembourg since June 2005. Friday the 14th I was alone in the office a complete stranger that works for a UK company called Virgin Megastores gives me a letter of notice, that I have to work until the 28th of September and will be paid until the 15th of November. I was in shock and signed the letter with a Virgin Megastore header, a UK address and a Virgin Megastore Personell Managers name on it. My last name was also spelled wrong. After a minute I ask for the paper back as I did not know what I was signing. I am refused this and she leaves the office and flies back to the UK. I send a registered letter to this person with my withdraw of my signature.

I call the finance manager of the Virgin Group as my line manager in Luxembourg is on vacation. She calls me back after an hour saying she is sorry for what happened and that I will be given a correct letter of notice on the 18th of September from my manager in Luxembourg and that I will be paid until the 30th of November but does not have to work until the 28th. She again confirms this on Monday the 17th on the speaker phone with me and business manager as well in an email to my business manager. On the 18th of September I get the correct letter of notice from business manager in Luxembourg with the Virgin Digital address and reg number in Luxembourg. My name is also corrected. I will get paid until the 30th of Nov, for unused holidays (nothing reg this in my first letter) and is relieved of work as from the 18th of Sep. NOW I have just recieved a registered letter from them saying I will only be paid until the 15th of November. They also will NOT pay for overtime (although it has been authorized and signed for by Lux business manager) and will look into the E301 "when they get time".

What can I do? Anything? Isnt the first letter of notice invalid since:

1. I withdrew my signature the same day and was refused to get it back in person 2. The letter was issued by Virgin Megastores (not reg in Luxembourg), had a UK address on it and a person not employed by Virgin Digital in Luxembourg. 3. My last name was spelled wrong 4. They gave me a NEW letter of notice on the 18th of September with the correct information (should this not override the first one??)

I mean I can not have two letters of notice??!! I want to be paid until the 30th of November as well as get my overtime money (over 6000 Euro just for 2007).

Any suggestions people?
